Cost-Effective
Solution
For Inventory Monitoring
of Hundreds of Sites
Elburn,
IL - The BulkSonics® Messenger
Remote Monitoring equipment can be used to provide a
PC-based interface for the BulkSonics ultrasonic technology
at a customer’s facility or to provide remote monitoring
for vendor managed inventory applications.
Utilizing
the XL-70 remote monitoring unit and MessengerWare software
yields real-time monitoring with automatic and/or manual
updates. Messenger equipment provides value-added inventory
management while monitoring up to 32 analog 4-20mA inputs
at each site.
The
efficient XL-70 is the easiest-to-use remote site monitoring
and management system available. The XL-70 is a remote
monitor, an auto-dialer, a communications engine, a status
reporter, a programmable controller, a data logger and
more.
MessengerWare
remote monitoring software works with the XL-70 to automate
the task of tracking, responding to, and reporting on hundreds
of remote sites. This proven software makes complex data
collection tasks simple and cost-effective. Two versions
of MessengerWare remote monitoring software are available:
MessengerWare and MessengerWare Lite.
Elburn,
IL - Monitor Technologies is
launching the NEW TrueCap® Model
MK-2e. Featuring a new look, this RF Capacitance sensor
has been redesigned as a value-priced and versatile point
level control.
Ideal
for almost any point level application, the Model MK-2e has
several standout features including a high sensitivity of 0.5pF
and buildup immunity. The MK-2e is one of the only integral
sensor units available that will accept 24VDC as its operating
voltage.
Approvals
are often an important factor when selecting a level control.
The MK-2e caries the CE Mark on all Ordinary location units.
For Hazardous locations, the MK-2e is available with both Class
I and II approvals allowing one model to serve virtually any
application. Both the Ordinary and Hazardous location units
are CSA(US/C) approved.
Check
out the MK-2e's new look! The twist on/off cover is easy to
install and has two conduit entrances for convenient access.
A high intensity LED is standard on all Ordinary location integral
sensors providing local visual indication of power and material
presence/absence without removing the cover.
The TrueCap® Model MK-2
RF Capacitance point level probe is designed to provide a superior
and stable sensitivity threshold making it suitable for a variety
of powder / bulk solids and some liquid or slurry applications.
Advanced features of the Model MK-2 include: > Automatic immunity to material build-up on
the probe by its driven shield design > Push-button calibration > Enhanced temperature compensation > Maximized reliability via smart sensing algorithms
like “self-validating” fail-safe protection > Visible status LED on ordinary location units > Versatility through a variety of configuration
options including: hazardous location version, split architecture
design, quick-connect process connection, stub probe, cable extensions,
solid extensions, Nylon® probes, Ryton® - equiv. probes,
etc.
A practical application for the TrueCap would be to use this level sensor where
a residual material build-up on a different sensor would cause a false material
level indication.
Principle of Operation for the TrueCap RF Capacitance Level
Probe:
The vessel wall and the active probe element establish an impedance reference
between each other when exposed to air which has a dielectric constant of 1.
When materials with a dielectric constant greater than 1 are in close proximity
to the probe, the impedance of the sensing field between the sensor and the vessel
wall will change. Once the amount of change exceeds a threshold that was electronically
determined during the calibration process, an output relay will either be energized
or de-energized depending upon the position of the fail-safe selector on the
probe’s electronic circuit board. A change of as little as .5 pico-farad
is all that is necessary for the probe to sense the presence of material.
